Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Use of the service

SaveThat.video is a free tool for downloading publicly available video content. Using it means you're okay with these terms. If you're not, don't use it.

The service is provided as-is. We can't promise it'll be up 24/7 or that any specific platform will keep working. APIs change without warning and sometimes we're playing catch-up.

You are responsible for complying with any terms of service that apply to the platforms you download from. Some platforms restrict downloading in their own terms. We provide the technical capability, but whether you're allowed to use it on a given platform is between you and that platform.

2. What you do with downloads is on you

SaveThat is for personal use: saving videos to watch offline, archiving your own content, keeping a clip a friend sent you. That kind of thing. It's not for downloading videos to repost them as your own, use commercially, or do anything that would get a creator rightfully upset.

We're not the content police and we're not watching what you download. But if you use this to rip and redistribute other people's work, that's your problem. Legally and morally.

3. How downloads work

We're a link-finder, not a host. When you paste a URL, we locate the video file on the original platform's servers and provide a download link. In most cases, the file goes directly from the platform to your device without passing through our servers.

For certain platforms, downloads may be temporarily proxied through our server for technical compatibility (e.g., when the source requires specific request handling). In these cases, the content is streamed in real time and is never stored, cached, or logged on our end.

4. Copyright

We take DMCA requests seriously. If you think something accessible through this tool infringes your copyright, email dmca@savethat.video. The DMCA page has the specifics on what to include.

5. What not to do

6. Liability

We're a small tool on the internet. If something goes wrong (a download fails, a link breaks, your dog eats your hard drive), that's not on us. Use the service at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold SaveThat.video harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, including any violation of third-party terms of service or copyright.

7. Changes

We'll update this page if anything meaningful changes. If you keep using the site after that, you're okay with the new version.
