Why Instagram Limits Profile Picture Size
Instagram compresses profile photos to small thumbnails for two reasons. First, bandwidth: loading millions of full-size images in comment threads and follower lists would slow the app significantly. Second, privacy: users may not want their profile photo easily downloadable at high resolution by strangers.
The app displays a 150x150 version in most places. Even if you uploaded a 4000x4000 image, Instagram crops and resizes it. The full-size version it keeps is typically 320x320 or slightly larger, depending on the original upload.
How to Download an Instagram Profile Picture
Step 1: Copy the profile URL
Open Instagram and go to the account whose profile picture you want. Tap the three-dot menu and select Copy Profile URL. The URL looks like instagram.com/username.
On desktop, just copy the URL from your browser's address bar while viewing the profile.
Step 2: Paste into SaveThat.video

Screenshot and crop
Taking a screenshot captures the 150x150 thumbnail at screen resolution. The result is blurry and pixelated when enlarged. This is the worst option if you need a usable image.
Ask the person directly
If you need the original high-resolution file (not just what Instagram stores), the only option is to ask the account owner. Instagram compresses every upload, so even the "full size" version from their servers is smaller than the original.
