Can I Download Instagram Stories?

Stories disappear after 24 hours. There's no save button and no download option. If you posted the Story yourself, you can still access it through your Archive. But if you want to save someone else's Story from a public account, you have to act while it's still live.

Copy the Story link (tap the three dots while viewing it, then Copy Link), paste it here, and download. The file saves as an MP4 with any music, stickers, and text overlays included. Whatever Instagram renders is what you get.

How Do I Save Instagram Videos on iPhone?

Safari handles this cleanly. Paste the URL, tap Save it, and Safari will ask you to confirm the download. The MP4 lands in your Files app. To move it to your Camera Roll, open the file in Files, tap the share icon, and select Save Video.

If Safari tries to play the video instead of downloading it, long-press the download button and tap Download Linked File. That forces Safari to save rather than stream.

How Do I Save Instagram Videos on Android?

Chrome on Android makes this easy. Paste the link, tap download, and the MP4 goes straight to your Downloads folder. Your gallery app picks it up automatically, so there are no extra steps to move the file.
